Sojourner #027: Supporting the McKinney Family
“Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)
Editor's Note: This article was published in cooperation with Brian Nelson of Mayhem Mission to express an urgent need in our community. Please, join us in praying for Austin McKinney and his family as you read Brian's words.
Meet Austin McKinney. He is a husband, father, pastor, missionary, CrossFit Mayhem athlete, volunteer to the needy, and basically a stud all around. I had the privilege of seeing this man fall in love with God and immediately take off to Africa with me on a Mayhem Mission adventure.
Austin was recently serving the hurricane victims in his home state of North Carolina when he slipped and fell off the roof of someone’s home while serving. He was paralyzed from the waist down and immediately went into surgery. As of now the post surgery reports have been positive.
Today I simply am asking you to pray for Austin that God shows off and completely heals his body! Mayhem Mission has created a way to directly support Austin, his wife and two children as he begins his road to recovery! We love you Austin!
From Mayhem Mission:
We are asking the Mayhem Mission community to pray for Austin's complete and total healing, and help support the McKinney family with hope, encouragement, and resources. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support for the McKinney's during this challenging time.
Austin has served with Mayhem Mission at our Togo, Africa orphanage by building wells, baptizing locals, and enthusiastically demonstrating Christ's love to the orphans and leaders. Your prayers and support can help make Austin's return trip to Togo possible.
Give to support the McKinney family here.
